چکیده
Microstructure evolutions in Ni-base superalloys are investigated during [110] creep loading using 3D and 2D phase field simulations. A recently developed model coupled to a crystal plasticity based on dislocation densities is employed. The uses storage-recovery law for the density of each glide system hardening matrix account short-range interactions between dislocations. We show that small misorientations tensile axis strongly modify evolution: rafting observed deviations, as opposed microstructure made rod-like precipitates when performed along perfectly aligned direction. Depending precise direction mechanical load, different obtained accompanied by strong modification macroscopic behavior, explaining variety results experimentally. relative role inhomogeneous anisotropic elastic plastic driving forces also investigated, being main force considered case. In addition, our calculations initial slightly modifies morphology but curve significantly impacted.

متن کاملTemperature and Orientation Dependence of Creep Damage of Two Ni-base Superalloys
Both polycrystalline (PC) and directionally-solidified (DS) Ni-base superalloys are commonly applied as turbine materials to primarily withstand creep conditions manifested in either marine-, airor land-based gas turbines components. The thrust for increased efficiency of these systems, however, translates into the need for these materials to exhibit considerable strength and temperature resist...
متن کاملMicrostructure and 3-d Effects in Fretting Fatigue of Ti Alloys and Ni-base Superalloys
Damage and plastic deformation accumulation in fretting fatigue occurs within a depth of a few crystallographic grains. Therefore, more accurate assumptions concerning length scale, damage volume, and the material model are needed to establish a more solid physical foundation necessary for next generation fretting fatigue damage prediction. Major thrusts include: (1) development and implementat...
